SUMMARY:
Create production-ready harness board assembly drawings (aka form boards) in AutoCad. With minimum supervision, responsible for producing new and revising existing aerospace wire and cable harness board drawings of varying complexity. Familiar with manufacturing and assembly of complex cable harnesses and completed harness board drawings that reflect a design-for-production. Completed drawings are designed according to the applicable standards and customer specifications relevant to each assembly. Harness board drawings should be Production-Ready (i.e., ready to print to scale, mounted, verified and utilized by manufacturing without additional review).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Develop and maintain basic cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.

Assist with engineering design disposition on discrepancies: rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests.

Develop and maintain basic electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs: equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas.

Follow documented processes, specifications and procedures that support design and manufacture of electrical commodities.

Collect data to support the development of statements of work.

Assist in data gathering of supplier capabilities.

Review functional and physical input used in development of integrated design and system architecture.

Work under close supervision.

Coordination of 3D data for implementation into harness design package.

Creation and knowledge of drawing part number changes vs. drawing revisions.
•U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


Other duties as required in support of the department and company.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 1-2 years experience in similar position.

Two plus Years (recently) in AutoCad, Catia, Pro/E or Solidworks Drafting.

One to two years experience in a technical classification.

One to two years Aerospace industry experience (preferred).

Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel or other web-based tools.

Excellent interpersonal skills in both oral and written form.

Professional appearance and attitude. Establish and maintain relationship with suppliers and customers.

Exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills.

Prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a high pace and responsive environment.

Possess a sense of urgency to customer expectations.
