SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Wire and Label Operator I is responsible for performing wire marking and cutting operations to satisfy internal and external customer orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cuts and marks wire per drawing and program specifications with the appropriate equipment
• Maintains a high level of quality and productivity in all wire marking and cutting operations.
• Demonstrates proper use of basic wire processing machines.
• Identifies wires with use of basic color code sequence
• Completes all necessary paperwork relating to the building of cable assemblies
• Consistently demonstrates sound knowledge required by Label I training
• Makes sure that workstation is clean, organized and free of hazardous materials
• Is familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year related experience preferred
• Satisfy all Wire Operator I requirements after the required time period
• Satisfy Personnel Proficiency Requirements after the required time period
• Must have a working comprehension of the English language complimented with workplace levels of grammar, composition, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure
