Job Description


Under general supervision, the Wire and Label Operator II is responsible to utilize advanced training to perform label printing operations to satisfy internal and external customer orders.


* Prints labels per drawing and program specifications with the appropriate equipment per IPC/WHMA-A-620B.
* Maintains a high level of quality and productivity in all wire marking and cutting operations.
* Demonstrates proper use of basic label printing machines.
* Identifies wires with use of basic color code sequence
* Completes all necessary paperwork relating to the building of cable assemblies
* Consistently demonstrates sound knowledge required by Label I training
* Makes sure that workstation is clean, organized and free of hazardous materials
* Is familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines

* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1 year related experience preferred
* Satisfy all Wire and Label Operator II requirements after the required time period.
* Satisfy Personnel Proficiency Requirements after the required time period
* Must have a working comprehension of the English language complimented with workplace levels of grammar, composition, oral and written communication skills
* Ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure
* Ability to operate all label printing and wire processing equipment and meet all workmanship standards
* IPC Wire and Cable Fundamentals, Crimping Fundamentals, Basic Soldering, IPC/WHMA-A-620B Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harnesses
