Job Description

Develop and nurture top-level strategic relationships with end-user customers and key distribution partners, as well as manufacturers reps.
Accountable for the disciplined use of account planning process and foundational customer direction.
Accountable for the sales forecast for profit planning, quarterly updates and monthly demand management and execution thereof.
Responsible for approving the pricing policy to ensure that pricing strategies achieve maximum margin, growth and financial targets.
Reports performance results internally and to the customer.
Will serve as an executive sponsor / internal resource and expert for Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP).
Works closely with marketing, product engineering, customer service and manufacturing to provide input to the development of new product strategies and roadmaps to meet customer requirements.
Ensures sales strategies for new and existing products or services are aligned with product roadmaps.
Reviews and approves significant customer proposals to ensure compliance with customer and the company's needs.
Represents the voice of the customer and is a key driver of strategic alignment.
Manages internal/external customer/channel conflicts.
Accountable for facilitation of accounts receivables collection.
Reviews and analyzes financial statements on a regular basis, including profitability by customer, rep, and product, including departmental spend and headcount requirements


An undergraduate degree is required. A Master of Business Administration degree is desirable.

The ideal candidate will bring transferrable skills of leadership, tenacity, ability to quickly assess business situations and design / implement proper course of action.
The ideal candidate will instill a sense of urgency in the sales organization. He/she will lead from the front, maintaining an active sales calendar, represent the company at industry meetings, and create more of a presence in the markets they serve. He/she will have the drive and discipline to call on customers, and drive production orders; in other words, focus on the fundamentals in order to take share from competitors.
Ability to influence by direct and indirect power; ability to exercise diplomacy while making difficult business decisions; strength and stamina to take and hold a hard position and see through to completion.
Ability to overcome inevitable roadblocks and challenges on own is a must at this level through the use of positive influencing skills. This is an essential position to the company's overall business vision of securing ongoing profitable growth.
Strong commercial skills including: selling process, pricing, costing, discount structures, terms and conditions, sales strategy development/execution, negotiating and sales proposal development.

Intimate familiarity managing complex relationships with leading foodservice distributors and GPOs.
A track record of new business development success.
Experience developing and managing distributed sales forces / teams / structures.
Experience with value-selling engineered products with proficiency in heavy commercial B2B negotiation.
Proven strategic planning and business leadership capabilities.
Proven ability to identify, position, develop, lead and retain talented people who are focused on rapid speed of implementation and flawless execution of the strategy and tactics.
Proven ability to develop functional metrics and drive them into the organization so that his/her team effectively and efficiently understands, adopts, and executes them to achieve the results.
Experience driving change, integration and results.
Experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies and principles, especially policy deployment.
Multi-lingual preferred, particularly Spanish and Chinese.
