Job Description

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an opening for a UI/UX Designer at its Carlisle, PA location within the Creative Services department.  This role is responsible for planning & executing design of the company's websites and mobile applications. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: design discussion with key project stakeholders, developing preliminary wire frame designs, designing Photoshop mockups and implementing design via front-end coding. This role will also provide oversight and direction to third-party consultants on the design and user interface of all company code and software.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Direct design and user interface work of independent contractors
  • Maintain site appearance by developing and enforcing content and display standards in conjunction with marketing print standards
  • Oversee the UI design and code of all contractors for all websites and mobile applications, to ensure they stay

    within the established brand standards

  • Plan site design by clarifying goals; designing functionality
  • Assist in the development of site content and graphics
  • File asset management & code conflict resolution
  • Collaboration with specialists including programmers and testers
  • Assist in coding the visual layout based on the wireframes & mockups
  • Create and present wireframes and mockups to key stakeholders
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
  • Conduct user research and user testing with potential and existing users
  • Meet with clients to identify and meet their needs
  • Ul/UX Testing


  • Bachelors degree in Interactive Design or related 
  • 3 + years of experience with UI/UX design
  • Ability to code using HTML5, CSS, Javascript, PHP, or .NET
  • Experience managing projects and directing the work of others
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment
  • Understanding of how typography, visual hierarchy, color and motion graphics/animations affect human behavior to software
  • Ability to creatively problem solve and apply critical thinking skills
  • Mobile development experience a plus
