Carlisle Interconnect Technologies (CIT) - Pottstown is seeking candidates to join our team in a newly created role, Training Specialist. The Training Specialist will be a part of the Human Resources team and will be an individual contributor responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting training programs targeted to build skills, knowledge, and competency for the Pottstown staff.

• Oversee skill training matrix and skill competency certification process for manufacturing staff. 
• Design and develop skill training modules for defined skills, knowledge, and competencies in each manufacturing area. 
• Design and develop training programs as needed (outsourced and/or inhouse).
• Maintain training records and training software to track all training activity. Maintain updated curriculum database and training records.
• Assess and map out annual training needs for Pottstown site.
• Assess instructional effectiveness and determine impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.
• Design and develop train the trainer curriculum for manufacturing and staff leads to certify employees in skill based training.
• Work with functional managers to schedule and maintain training efforts for minimum interruption to manufacturing output.
• Utilize varied training methods for skill, knowledge, and competency training.
• Meet with managers and supervisors to understand training needs and gaps.
•Other duties may be assigned as needed depending on business need.

Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
Minimal travel for Corporate HR and training purposes.
Qualified candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and be able to successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment physical and drug screen.

• BA degree in Education, Business, Training, HR or related field or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience, and demonstrated track record in training.
• Experience with an ISO certified and/or Lean manufacturing environment.
• Strong personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as training software.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and facilitation skills. 
• Able to work effectively with both employees and managers and convey a positive and professional image to employees and external contacts.
• Able to uphold Carlisle IT policy, procedure and culture through relations with internal and external contacts.
• Able to read, create and interpret policies and procedural manual.
• Able to speak effectively in front of groups of managers and employees.
• Able to effectively manage daily interruptions
