Job Summary: This position requires experience in operating tool room equipment. Must be able to work from sketches and blueprints. Willing to work with engineers and operators to perform tooling modifications. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates conventional tool room machineries like lathes, surface grinders, milling and EDM Sinker Machines and other tool room equipment.

• Create preliminary design sketches and detailed manufacturing drawings of Carbide Dies and Punches for use in the cold head process.
*
• Fabricate tooling from sketches and detailed manufacturing drawing.
*
• Understands properties of tool material for use in the cold head process.
*
• Understands geometric formulas and standard tool engineering practices.
*
• Resolves problems related to tool and apply cost effective solution.
*
• Maintains tool room equipment. Coordinate with Maintenance supervisor and/or outside maintenance services in the maintenance and repair of equipment.
*
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow company safety rules and policies.

Skills and/or Experience Needed:



* Minimum 5 years of design and manufacturing of Cold Head tooling experience.
