Job Description



SUMMARY

Primary duties include identifying and interpreting specifications, such as SAE AS39029, BS EN 3155-001 as well as customer specific specifications such as AIRBUS, BOEING & NORTHROP. Help develop proper testing methodology & testing procedure documents to said specifications. Update testing standards and data sheet fabrications to be compliant to requirements of the specification. Interface with design engineering and lab personnel to complete testing per qualification/validation test plans, including coordination of outside testing.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


* • Develops test specifications, sketches, test plans and other written or verbal information to perform designated tests.
* • Gathers test equipment required, sets into test positions, and develops test methodology utilizing work knowledge of materials tested.
* • Assists technicians in the proper operation of environmental test equipment and monitors tests results.
* • Assists in procuring test equipment and specific test material needed to complete all testing, such as wire, connectors and fixturing.
* • Writes test summaries and completes test reports as required for qualification and re-qualification.
* • Thorough understanding of the test requirements and the operation of the proper equipment to perform the Tests.
* • Interface with design engineering and the customer to resolve specification issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

JOB SKILLS


* • Through knowledge military specifications.
* • Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or physics
* • 3 to 5 years' (hands on) Experience in environmental, mechanical and electrical testing.
* Understanding of MS Office Suites, MS Project.

LANGUAGE SKILLS


* Must communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
* Ability to report effectively to upper management.
* Must be able to read, write, analyze, and interpret general business reports, procedures, and/or regulations.

Reasoning Ability:


* Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions.
* Must be able to generate departmental documentation and be able to train technicians.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
* Troubleshooting skills

Additional Skills and Experience preferred (Not Required):


* • Vibration Control System Experience
* • Network Analysis Measurement Experience (NEXT, FEXT, Attenuation, Crosstalk measurements, FFT, TDR)
* • Signal and Power integrity experience
