ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Prepare and publish key supply chain reports on a timely basis. These reports will be monthly, quarterly, and annual.
* Assist in the implementation of strategic initiatives.
* Compile, analyze, and validate, plant information on topics such as raw material costs, project savings, inventory turns, and supplier spend.
* Learn basic SAP fundamentals and run reports/queries specific to job responsibilities.
* Exposure to areas of production scheduling, buying, demand planning, and strategic sourcing.

There are no supervisor responsibilities for this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level is usually low to moderate. Occasionally the job may require that you enter the production area, which you will need to maintain OSHA safety standards.

WORK SCHEDULE
May require longer hours during month and quarter ends to generate and publish reports.
TRAVEL
May be up to 30 % Travel (May be periods of multi-week travel).


SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Intern will help coordinate, prepare, and analyze key supply chain metrics while gaining fundamental supply chain knowledge and skills. This position will also include project work and will participate in cross-functional teams to improve metrics in such areas as inventory turns, working capital, lead time reductions, sole source elimination, supplier relationship management, and supply chain excellence.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidates should be enrolled in a four-year college or university (Business, Supply Chain, or Technical preferred).

* Ability to learn SAP or other ERP systems, as well as manufacturing process and procedures, and the ability to share this knowledge with others.
* Computer skills in MS Office are required; advance skills are preferred.
