Job Description


The Supply Chain Analyst (S&OP) will be responsible for supporting the implementation and sustainment of a robust Sales and Operations Planning process for the Franklin facility. This position will be responsible for data analysis in support of the 5 S&OP steps as well as maintenance and improvement of ERP system health with regard to forecast, capacity, production strategy, and inventory elements and settings. The analyst will provide reporting and analysis support to all supply chain departments (purchasing, planning, warehouse) as well as cross functional teams through the S&OP cycle and cycle driven projects. This position will support design and process documentation of sustainable and efficient data collection, manipulation, and utilization methodologies across the planning hierarchy. The analyst will play a key role in improvement of Franklin's long-term planning, enabling more optimal decisions to positively impact profitability, service, and inventory performance.


* Contribute to the ideation and problem solving process required to build a value added strategic planning cycle that unifies the plant team around an agreed upon path
* Own monthly forecast uploads, consumption/period of adjustment/planning strategy settings, and monthly accuracy tracking
* Own recurring reporting as necessary both within the plant and to corporate
* Support overall demand planning system, process, and performance improvements
* Support monthly statistical forecasting, forecast value add, and other ad hoc analysis
* Support monthly labor/machine/materials plans, attainment, efficiency updates and system alignment
* Support/drive projects to improve inventory reporting and performance
* Create and maintain standard work/templates as the S&OP process evolves
* Identify and drive to completion continuous improvement projects across the facility with the support and guidance of the S&OP Lead and Supply Chain Manager

There are no supervisor responsibilities for this position.

The ideal candidates should have:

* Education:

* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Business or Supply Chain preferred)
* APICS and/or IBF certification or ability to complete certification program within two years of employment.
* Understanding of supply chain fundamentals across inventory management, planning, purchasing, forecasting
* Understanding of basic MRP logic, willingness to learn more advanced concepts / functionality
* Basic understanding of income statement / balance sheet
* Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.

* Personality:

* Curious mind that has no problem challenging the status quo
* Strategic thinker able to zoom out while driving incremental improvement at lower levels of the planning hierarchy
* Self starter that can work with little supervision
* Confident speaker with ability to understand and relate to differing motivations, experience, and metrics within all plant functions: Sales, Finance, Operations, HR, Supply Chain, Quality, Project Management etc.
* An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
* Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity or incomplete data

* Skills:

* Strong detail oriented analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and present data driven conclusions/proposals
* Excellent Excel / PowerPoint abilities with a focus on building efficient formulas/templates/charts for repetitive tasks
* SAP experience a plus, ability to learn quickly a must
* Ability to piece together data from various sources and drive systemic reporting improvements
* Demonstrated decision making and problem solving skills.
* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to job-related situations.
