Job Description

SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Analyst will help coordinate, prepare, and analyze key supply chain metrics for multiple facilities in the North America as well as operations in China and Europe. This position will also include project work and will participate in cross-functional teams to improve metrics in such areas as inventory turns, working capital, lead time reductions, sole source elimination, supplier relationship management, and supply chain excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


• Prepare and publish key supply chain reports on a timely basis. These reports will be monthly, quarterly, and annual.


• Assist in the implementation of strategic initiatives


• Coordinate the issuing and summarization of supplier report cards and surveys


• Compile, analyze, and validate, plant information on topics such as raw material costs, project savings, inventory turns, and supplier spend.


• Serve as SAP power user.


• Serve as supply chain liaison with corporate, and plants on strategic initiatives such as spend analytics, logistic scorecards, and spend aggregation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level is usually low to moderate. Occasionally the job may require that you enter the production area, which you will need to maintain OSHA safety standards.



WORK SCHEDULE

May require longer hours during month and quarter ends to generate and publish reports.



TRAVEL May be up to 30 % Travel (May be periods of multi-week travel).

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidates should have:

* Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Business, Supply Chain, or Technical preferred). APICS or ISM/Supply Chain certification required or willingness to complete certification program within two years of employment.
* Zero (0) to two (2) years or more experience in professional Materials position(s) is required. Cable and electronic component purchasing experience desired or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
* Strong Analytical skills, with attention to detail.
* Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.
* Must be able to deliver excellent work with little supervision.
* Must be able to work in a fast paced, cross functional environment.
* Some experience in any or all areas including Project Management, negotiation, general commodity market knowledge, or general Supply Chain knowledge.
* Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement is preferred.
* A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
* An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
* Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing and ambiguous environment.
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, suppliers, and employees. Portrays a positive and professional image. Ability to establish relations with a wide range of personalities, cultural backgrounds and educational levels.
* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions to job-related situations.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
* Ability to learn SAP or other ERP systems, as well as manufacturing process and procedures, and the ability to share this knowledge with others.
* Computer skills in MS Office are required; advance skills are preferred.
