The Strategic Sourcing Manager will execute strategic sourcing events and manage suppliers for multiple manufacturing locations within assigned commodity categories to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership for CBF.​ The scope of this position requires working closely with multiple departments, divisions and executive leaders to support North American manufacturing.​ This position will entail implementing an effective supplier relationship management program. This position will be responsible for developing suppliers who have the ability to grow with CBF. This position will also require working with suppliers to develop new products and continuously improve processes. Commodities include, but are not limited to, steel, copper, graphite, castings, machining, powders, packaging, paper, etc.


* Experience driving supplier On-Time Delivery improvement programs.
* Understanding of trends in material prices, sources and global/​domestic market conditions and how to leverage market conditions.
* Experience in domestic and global sourcing with very strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
* Execute strategic sourcing events (supplier selection, negotiation and contracting),
* Participation as a strong, contributing member of cross-functional NPI, Kaizen, Black Belt, SRM teams, etc..
* Experience communicating and developing presentations for professional groups.


* Manage supplier and internal compliance to contract terms & conditions.​
* Drive continuous improvement efforts, document year over year cost reductions and manage supplier relationship management program.​
* Prepare, review, and execute contract documents.​
* Manage, train, and direct sourcing associates that participate in the SRM program
* Manage SRM calendar to ensure all targeted suppliers in specific quadrants are participating actively in the program as scheduled
* Assess supply chain risks associated with single sourced materials and work to mitigate risks
* Assist suppliers in continuous improvements efforts where needed
* Manage supplier performance process
* Develop presentations that analyze the supplier performance
* Drive improvements with suppliers by challenging the supplier to both improve service and decrease costs
* Hold suppliers accountable to company guidelines and agreements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years global sourcing experience with direct spend in a multi-plant manufacturing environment at a growth oriented company. The desired candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, analytical, negotiation and organizational skills in conjunction with the ability to manage multiple projects.​ Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering is required, MBA is preferred. This position may require up to 25% ​travel including some international travel.​
