Job Description

Assist in day to day accounting within the organization including preparation of financial analysis, journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial close.


* Financial Analysis

* Maintain production reports and analysis to partner with operations to drive cost and process improvements:

* Creation and distribution of operational reporting

* Backlog, Bookings, OTD, Labor Efficiency, Overtime, Scrap, Cycle Counting, Etc.

* Develop annual materials, labor, and scrap forecasts.
* Assist in preparation of monthly forecast and analyzing actual results versus previous forecasts.
* Review monthly manufacturing cost activity during monthly close and journalize adjustments as required.

* General Accounting and Financial Reporting.

* Assist in monthly and annual financial close.
* Assist in review of budget to actual manufacturing department expenses and forecasting future months.

* GL coding for invoice processing.
* Assist with ADP reporting and input into the General Ledger.
* Fixed Asset Management

* Maintenance of fixed assets through still to be determined module, including adding and removing PP&E assets as needed.
* Other.

* Compile cost information to be used in operating budget preparation.
* Perform other related duties as required to meet the goals and objectives of the company and the Finance
* Sales Tax and Department of Revenue Reporting
* Work with Department heads to improve labor and material transaction accuracy in new ERP system.
* Input and recommendation for customer credit limits with review at corporate office.

*Other duties as required in support of the department and company

* Strong analytical skills
* Understanding and application of Lean Principals
* Knowledge of financial controls and compliance (SOX requirements)
* Superior Excel skills with exposure to Access
* Experience with Crystal Reports a plus
* Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

* 4 year college degree in Accounting/Business Administration
* ERP Experience
* 2+ years' experience (manufacturing environment preferred)

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
