Job Description

To ensure that the Value Stream is customer focused, meets key performance indicators (KPI's) and COS Operational Excellence (OPEX) goals. The Senior Value Stream Manager has direct responsibility from production order to finished goods storage including safety, quality, delivery and cost of all manufactured products. The Senior Value Stream Manager will be responsible for developing a strong team environment with clear and effective communications. The Senior Value Stream Manager is responsible to interface with the Executive Leadership Team as well as support personnel including:

• Plant Operations Management
• Site COS Manager
• Value Stream associates across the business
• Research & Development
• New Product Development and Introduction
• Engineering
• Technical Services
• Scheduling
• Sales
• Customer Service
• Logistics

• I. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promote a Safety Culture in the areas of

• Employee behaviors
• Equipment maintenance and operation
• Ergonomics
• Will manage both 2nd and 3rd shift Superintendent and is responsible for overall production management of 2nd and 3rd shift
• Develops associates through training, coaching and supervision
• Demonstrates commitment to CBF Values
• Optimizes equipment efficiency and maintenance (TPM)
• Ensures quality by executing the product control plan
• Delivers product on time and in full by adhering to the schedule
• Develops annual budget, monitors short / long term capacity and manages manufacturing costs
• Drives a managing for daily improvement (MDI) culture through employee engagement and ensuring rigor for

• Hour by hour performance
• Effective countermeasure identification and resolution
• Daily SQDC boardwalk process
• Identification, tracking and executing on Planning & Review (P&R) improvement ideas
• Execution of point kaizen activity
• Sustainment of continuous improvement initiatives, countermeasures and kaizen events
• Provides employees with feedback regarding performance and completes performance appraisals.
• Document and issue disciplinary action as required.
• Understands and drives for progression in COS OPEX Award Level
• In absence of the North American Director of Operations, be able to represent the Medina facility to both internal and external customers.

• Experience with MES, QAD, iPurchase is highly desired

Days of Week Worked - Generally Monday through Friday although weekends may be required to assist and lead production requirements when scheduled.

Comments -- This position requires the person to be "On Call" due to the nature of the operation. The 24 hour nature of the operation involves situations that need to answered or advised regardless of the time of day.

• Education:
Bachelor degree in Operations Management, Engineering or other technical related disciplines is highly desired.

Work experience and a proven track record of increasing responsibility in one or more positions that involves supervision, independent thinking and analysis, decision making, effective communication, etc.

• Experience:
Eight to Twelve years in a manufacturing position or one that is closely associated with plant operations is highly desired. Ability to function in a team environment, work well with others, and handle multiple
