Job Description

This position is responsible for the accurate receipt of materials, goods, and services and entering such into the company system.


• • Receives material for shipping, checking packaging requirements and may count or weigh material to verify quantities being shipped out.
• • May transfer parts, items received to manufacturing or administrative office.
• • Reviews all paperwork of all orders received and processes accordingly.
• • Generates labels from system and applies to customer required purchase.
• • Weighs containers and identify with the appropriate information
• • Wraps, ties, or places material in envelopes, boxes, or other containers. Stamps, types, or writes addresses on packaged materials.
• • Maintains records of materials processed/sent.
• • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
• • Obtain freight rate quotes and schedule pick-up and deliveries as required.
• • Work with Purchasing and/ or Account Payables to resolve any discrepancies.
• • Must be able to load/unload material being delivered by various carriers.
• • Enter shipment information into Excel Spreadsheet.
• • May occasionally be asked to drive for the company.
Physical Demands:

• • This position uses a computer terminal to access, input, and retrieve data.
• • While performing duties of this position, employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time and is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, reach, and/or bend.
• • Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 35 pounds.
• • May be subjected to occasional irregular or extended work hours.

• • One-year equivalent experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability:

• • Must be able to understand and follow instructions.
• • Must be able to understand departmental documentation and be able to process accurately.

Additional Skills and Experience preferred (Not Required):

• • Certified forklift driver or have the ability to be trained.
• • Prior experience in shipping, receiving and stockroom for a manufacturing environment.



• • Must be able to understand and follow instructions.

• • Knowledge of courier computer system (example: DHL, FedEx, UPS) and able to complete manual waybills.
• • Familiar with computers, appropriate skills to perform job functions: MS Office, Excel.
• Must have a current and clean driver license.
