Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM), a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Shipping/Traffic Clerk. Come join us in our new facility in Puyallup, WA with an excellent view of Mt. Rainier to learn more about the building productions and related technology industry. We have 2 divisions of CCM housed in our facility and the opportunity to learn and grow is available for our employees.

This position will be responsible for acting as a plant liaison with customers regarding delivery schedule of final product. This position will also provide both clerical and backup role support for the Dispatcher/Shipping Coordinator.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Process directions for all shipment on a daily basis
  • Process all confirmed orders/delivery
  • Daily filing of shipment folders picks orders and creates BOL’s
  • Maintain and have all paperwork ready for Dispatcher and Shipping Department
  • Process shipment paperwork and enter into dispatch shipping log
  • Housekeeping of Shipping, Office, and all other paperwork
  • Handles customer service calls for orders and deliveries

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED required
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in an office setting and preferably at least one (1) year in a shipping, warehouse, and/or logistics-related environment
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and SAP
  • Advanced math, analytical, reading, and writing skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills and experience interacting with all levels of employees and customers
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
  • Strong attention to detail skills required

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds for regular job duties
  • In addition, this position requires the following abilities: sitting, standing, reaching, bending, minor lifting, and walking.
