Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Coordinator

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Reports To: Materials Warehouse Supervisor

General Summary:

This position supports the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.

Essential Functions:

  • Receive raw materials into inventory and lot track in ERP system
  • Confirm pick/ship customer orders once shipped
  • Set up trucks for pick up as needed including using UPS World Ship
  • Load and unload trucks to be shipped and or received
  • Prepare customer orders to be shipped including wrapping pallets and filling out packing slips
  • Maintain finished good warehouse organization
  • Communicate with customer service and production on a daily basis
  • Prepare shipping paperwork including Hazardous Materials
  • Perform inventory cycle counts
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Job Specifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • International shipping experience preferred
  • 3 to 5 years’ previous experience in shipping/receiving preferred
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of computer software, including applications (ERP Systems)
  • Knowledge of packaging requirement for HazMat shipment
  • Knowledge of placarding containers carrying HazMat materials
  • Knowledge to use UPS WorldShip to authorize shipment of HazMat material
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload

Physical Requirements:

Work is generally performed within the finished goods warehouse in the shipping office. This position will require the ability to use a forklift after completing forklift training.
