Job Description

SUMMARY
This position oversees and is responsible for all activities in the shared services department, including the accounts payable/receivable and treasury functions. This position will establish financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems to maximize the return on financials assets. In additions, the shared services manager ensures effective and efficient processing of these functions, including internal disbursement and receipt transactions and reconciliation to applicable ledgers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Managing the accounts payable, collections, credit management, and treasury functions for the organization in an SAP shared services environment.
• Leading and motivating the payables and collection teams in order to achieve and maximize working capital targets.
• Manage a team of 12+ people and shares functional responsibility over people at non-SAP locations
• Proactively seek additional opportunities to maximize company performance through utilization of shared services.
• Monthly reporting of key performance indicators.
• Manages relationships with customers to reduce exposure to collection delays or risk of loss
• Introduce and evolve effective reporting and assessment tools to minimize risk and proactively identify problem areas.
• Prepare monthly cash forecasts including payroll, vendor payments and customer collections.
• Lead Vendor and Customer Master Data Governance processes and reviews, including evaluation and verification of bank account updates for vendor remittances and support fraud prevention, as well as customer setup to support auto posting of cash payments received.
• Complete monthly financial and metric dashboard reporting to management, including cash conversion cycle, CEI, Current AR%, DSO, DPO, DIO, etc., and actively participate in working capital improvement initiatives.
• Update and maintain department policies and procedures, including SOX and internal control documentation.
• Make recommendations to management for advanced cash flow strategies and improvements and then execute upon approval
• Coordinate with Carlisle corporate Treasury group to ensure cash needs are met and to maximize Carlisle's total return on capital.
• Develops, implements and maintains system, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines and improve working capital turnover.
• Manages accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger as relates to accounts payable and accounts receivable; ensures accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with audits to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained.
• Assist with integration of acquisitions.
• Special projects as assigned by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years AP/AR accounting/Treasury and general finance experience. Experience in a shared services environment preferred.
• Experience in SAP strongly preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
The position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. It requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of suppliers, customers or employees of the organization. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English is required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Theposition requiresthe ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
