Sales Representative – Carlisle Spray Foam Insulation

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Sales Representative to join our Carlisle Spray Foam Insulation team.  Ideal location would be Central PA, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, or Baltimore areas to cover PA, OH, upstate NY and Baltimore/Washington.

In this role you will be responsible for selling Carlisle Spray Foam Insulation products and services.  You will be accountable for increasing sales and expanding the customer base within the assigned territory.

Overnight travel of up to 50% is expected to successfully cover the territory.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell Spray Foam Insulation products and services within an assigned geographic area to achieve sales targets.
  • Pursue sales leads; visiting existing customers and pursuing new customers and accounts.
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services; respond to more complex customer inquiries
  • Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority, and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets
  • Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships to generate future sales and repeat business
  • Refer sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization so they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
  • Develop long term sales plans for key customers and monitor and adapt sales activities so these objectives are met
  • Establish annual, quarterly, monthly or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met.

Job Requirements:

  • Five or more years of experience in building material sales, focused on selling to contractors and distributors.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and building codes.
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate at all levels within an organization
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, with both customers and internal team members
