Job Description

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an opening for a  Regional Sales Manager, for the Water & Ice Protection (WIP) division.  This position will be responsible for all sales, marketing, and pricing needed to achieve the assigned sales and profit plans within the territory of: FL, LA, MS, AL, GA, NC, SC, and TN.    This includes  direct accountability for the performance of the independent rep groups associated with the region territory.  

This individual should be located in Orlando or Tampa, FL.

Travel requirement: 50% overnight (2-3 nights per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly call on architects, contractors and distribution partners to foster relationships with key decision makers at multiple levels of any organization.
  • Manage all pricing for job quotes and regular distribution pricing for both the national distribution, buying groups and independent partners as well.
  • Interface with other departments, including the plants that service the region, for market information, sales forecasts, pricing and program adjustment based on market conditions.
  • Establish sales targets (distribution), and dollar sales goals with each independent rep group to ensure alignment of team Carlisle and the rep groups in the field.
  • Create and execute a Territory Development Plan (TDP), with each rep group, this will be their living document as to how to execute and evaluate sales effectiveness to achieve top and bottom line results.
  • Set the go to market strategy for the WIP product line.  Marketing activities will include attendance at several trade shows and working with the Creative Services team on marketing collateral.

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years of experience in a sales environment within the building products industry.  Including experience in effectively managing people, either company employed or manufacturers' representative/distributor personnel.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to present to contractors, architects, engineers, sales professionals and others
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to articulate benefits of WIP products and understanding of building code
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Self driven with the ability to work independently
  • Proficient with MS Office
