Job Description

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an opening for a  Regional Sales Manager, for the Carlisle Roof Foam & Coatings division.  This position will manage the daily responsibilities associated with the sales of Carlisle's Roof Foam and Coatings products within the territory of: TX, AR, OK, NM, CO, and UT.  This includes developing regional strategies within a regional territory development plan to meet and exceed sales budget objectives and annual goals.  Developing relationships and influencing key stakeholders such as, building owners, property managers, architects, consultants, distributors and contractors is essential to the role. The regional manager is responsible for the direction and management of company and independent representatives. 

This individual should be located in Dallas, Houston, Austin, or San Antonio.

Travel requirement: 50%-70%

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct the sales efforts of the region's manufacturer's and independent representatives, contractors and distributors to ensure their efforts are in compliance with the annual operating plan.  This duty requires considerable travel to meet personally with rep, distributors, contractors, etc. to promote Carlisle Roof Foam and Coatings, its products and programs to all levels of these organizations.  Create and implement Territory Development Plans (TDP’s).  TDP’s will be developed in conjunction with Reps and Distributors to ensure Carlisle sales plan and objectives are clearly communicated
  • Manage the personnel assigned to the regional manager. This includes supervision of daily activities, hiring, training and development of personnel.
  • Regularly call on roofing contractors to promote Carlisle spray foam roofing and coating systems and products.  Develop relationship with key decision makers. Develop and supervise contractor programs and promotions and make adjustments as needed to insure maximum effectiveness. Assist sales team in maintaining existing customers as well as development of the new ones.
  • Call on building owners, architects and consultants to develop Carlisle spray foam roofing and coating specifications.  Additionally, perform meetings and seminars for these individuals to educate them on the merits of Carlisle's various systems and products.   
  • Interface with other company departments to achieve sales objectives.  This includes field problem solving and negotiating to satisfy company and customer objectives, which may conflict. Consistently report market information and deliver feedback to departments. This will include such things as market conditions, competitive pricing and programs. 
  • Provide management with written correspondence and monthly reports to cover all aspects of the region that impact sales. Includes CRM reporting on strategic activities, new customer opportunities and project tracking. 

Requirements:

  • Eight (8) years in a sales environment within the roofing/construction industry.  Three (3) years’ experience with spray foam roofing or roof coating products, either from a sales or installation perspective. 
  • Two (2) years’ experience in effectively managing people, either company employed or manufacturers' representative/distributor personnel.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to present to contractors, architects, engineers, sales professionals and others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Proficient with MS Office
