Regional Sales Manager – Mid West

Weare looking for a Regional Sales Manager to manage Ultimate RB sales in theMid-West.   

Ideally located inChicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, or St Louis, the Regional Sales Manager will manage the dailyresponsibilities associated with the sales of Ultimate RB’s rubber flooring andmolded rubber products.  The primaryfocus of this role will be to create brand awareness and increase sales revenuethrough establishing a strong distribution network within the region.

Upto 60% overnight travel to be expected.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct the sales efforts of the region's distributors to ensure their efforts are in compliance with the annual operating plan.  This duty requires considerable travel to meet personally with rep/distributors to promote Ultimate RB, its products and programs to all levels of the distributor organization. 
  • Create and implement Territory Development Plans (TDP’s).  TDP’s will be developed to ensure Ultimate RB’s sales plan and objectives are clearly communicated.
  • Regularly call on flooring contractors to promote Ultimate RB products.  Develop relationship with key decision makers. Develop and supervise contractor programs and promotions and make adjustments as needed to insure maximum effectiveness. Assist sales team in maintaining existing customers as well as development of the new ones.
  • Call on architects and consultants to develop Ultimate RB specifications.  Additionally, perform calls and seminars for these individuals to educate them on the merits of Ultimate RB’s products.  
  • Interface with other company departments to achieve sales objectives.  This includes field problem solving and negotiating to satisfy company and customer objectives, which may conflict. Consistently report market information and deliver feedback to departments. This will include such things as market conditions, competitive pricing and programs. 
  • Provide management with written correspondence and monthly reports to cover all aspects of the region that impact sales.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Demonstrated sales success within building materials industry; preferably flooring/construction
  • Experience driving sales through distribution and manufacturer rep channels highly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prepare and conduct presentations at all levels to include contractors; architects; management; building owners
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships
  • Strong action selling and negotiation skills
