The Receptionist is responsible for answering a multi-line telephone at the Drexel Metals sales and marketing office in Louisville.  The Receptionist will also provide administrative support for the Management Team.  The Receptionist is responsible for providing internal and external customers with the highest level of customer service

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answers phones and directs callers to the appropriate Drexel employee
  • Provides every caller with the opportunity to speak to a Drexel employee if desired
  • Greets visitors, signs them into the office, and notifies appropriate employee of their arrival.
  • Distributes incoming mail and shipments.
  • Packages and ships all outgoing mail and shipments using approved vendors.
  • Responsible for the appearance and presentation of the Reception area.
  • Maintains Outlook, Management, and Regional Manager travel calendars.
  • Processes promotional giveaways for Marketing department.
  • Enhances organizations reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value
  • Provides support to Management and Sales Team through reporting
  • Utilize Stratix to research and fulfill warranty requests from customers nationwide
  • Assists Customer Service Manager with projects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Essential Full Performance Knowledge :  Excellent phone and in-person customer service skills

    Administrative duties such as data entry.  Strong computer skills, particularly using Microsoft Office

  • Essential Full Performance Skills :  Multi-line reception experience, packaging and shipping multiple parcels daily, Ability to juggle several tasks, Customer service etiquette
  • Must make a good first impression on the phone and in person
  • Essential Full Performance Abilities :  Self- motivated and the ability to work effectively with limited supervision, Communication of information to others

High School Diploma/GED is the required minimum education requirement.
