Job Description

Purpose: The Receiving Team Lead plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
Essential Functions:

• Maintains a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in an effective and efficient manner. Interviews and recommends applicants for hire as warehouse and receiving associates.

Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of receiving associates; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations; counsels, records and disciplines as necessary.

Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish the warehouse and receiving mission in a safe, effective manner.

Monitors the unloading of all materials into the receiving department; ensures materials are staged for counting and inspection; ensures receiving reports accurately report material received. Resolves discrepancies with accounting & purchasing regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports. Monitors the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry. Oversees the movement of material from receiving to the housing location in an efficient, effective and safe manner.

• Monitors and measures receiving performance for accuracy of locator, receiving reporting, movement and storage of material, and transfers to service parts.

Utilizing Open RMA report and working with Customer Service, process all returned goods permitting appropriate credit issued to customer.

As applicable, work with and collaborate with various CFT teams / employees (e.g. Customer Service, Accounting, Operations) and external suppliers to resolve issues, etc.

Evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing activities to develop and implement alternate methods designed for improvement of work.

Insure ongoing compliance with CFT Quality management System and ISO requirements.

Cycle count manufacturing inventory in preparation of physical inventory. Perform other related responsibilities as needed and as assigned.

Required Qualifications / Skills:

Associate Degree, preferably in business, manufacturing, or similar field of study. Equivalent education & experience will be considered.

3 to 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing environment, with 2 years of supervisory experience.

Ability to respond quickly and decisively through independent decisions and action.

Effective computer skills including Microsoft Office, business systems, e.g. EPICOR program(s).

Knowledge of bar code technology and electronic data interchange.

Effective written & verbal (individual & group) communication; conflict resolution; and team building.

Lean manufacturing and ISO certified environment.
