Job Description

The Quality Technician III (QT III) supports manufacturing to ensure and continuously improve quality and lead-time through improvement, analytical problem-solving and new-product-introduction support. The primary responsibility of the QTIII is abnormality response to defects both internal and external, evaluation of customer requirements, review of metrics, and identification of problems and the implementation and sustainment of improvement actions via support, coordination, and direct involvement with cross-functional teams

The QT3 will participate and lead cross-functional teams in projects such as new-product introduction, new-process development, and CAPA


* • Provides full technical support to production, including customer drawing interpretation, determination of requirements, assistance in evaluating acceptance criteria, material problems, and quality concerns
* • Responds to and resolves abnormalities identified externally via Nonconformity Reports (NCRs)
* • Reviews and approves Standard Work Documents (Manufacturing Instructions)
* • Supports the implementation of new processes including but not exclusive to: verification, initial monitoring, and validation of effectiveness and sustainment
* • Assists the Quality Engineer with the coordination and documentation of problem-solving activities, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions, including but not exclusive to CAPA and 8D
* • Provides preliminary analysis of quality data and provides information to demonstrate quality performance trends and identifies areas of risk and prioritize improvement actions
* • Has direct interactions with customers with minimal oversight from a quality engineer
* • Performs and/or participates in periodic quality and process audits
* • Provides training and mentorship to QT I-T and QT II on their roles and responsibilities.
* • May provide coverage for quality engineering roles on a short-term or long-term basis.
* • Other duties as assigned
* • Regular and predictable on-site attendance

* • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance Systems and Applications, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485
* • Strong computer skills, including relevant Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word) and SAP knowledge
* • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* • Strong verbal and written communication skills


* • Associates Degree (Metallurgical, Electrical, Quality or Mechanical)
* • Minimum two years' experience as a Quality Technician II (QT II) or equivalent role

Must maintain industry certifications as applicable to position and value stream that is supported. Including but not limited to; IPC-WHMA-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001, IPC-610, IPC-600 and NASA 8739


* • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
