Job Description



To perform routine visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspection and functional tests at the First article, Receiving, In - Process, and Final inspection stages of components or finished assemblies.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Performs assigned routine inspection on raw material, components, or finished assemblies.
• Records inspection results.
• Performs detailed visual inspection.
• Audits documentation & processes of production departments.
• Submits a weekly summary report of inspected material to Lead Inspector.
• Job requires walking 20%, standing 20%, and sitting 60%.
• Frequent use of a microscope.
• Occasional heavy lifting (10LBS to 25LBS).
• Assists in the calibration of measuring and test equipment.
• Assists in Shipping Inspection.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Combined sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day to accomplish tasks.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching or stooping on a frequent basis.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use computer for extended periods of time.
• Walking 20%, standing 20%, sitting 60%, lifting 25 LBS. or less.



* Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector.
* Familiarity with basic inspection tools.
* Knowledge of basic math and geometry.
* Sufficient Knowledge of blueprints reading to interpret dimensioning and tolerancing of CIT detail and top assembly drawings. Dexterity, coordination, and accuracy.
* Ability to generate written non-conforming material reports.
* Ability to communicate and interface well with a wide range of people.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
