Job Description

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Purchasing Coordinator, at its Wylie, TX location for the Coatings & Waterproofing division.  The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and procuring of purchase goods for resale, evaluating new sources of supply, and vendor relations.  In addition, this position will maintain purchasing and vendor records in order to effectively report on inventory usage, turn, and delivery performance.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and procuring purchase goods for resale
  • Product and vendor research
  • Evaluating supply sources
  • Vendor relations
  • Price negotiations
  • Create and manage purchase orders to ensure timely fulfillment
  • Match receipts to purchase orders
  • Create and maintain reports analyzing inventory usage, turn, delivery performance and other related reports
  • Use MRP tools to develop forecasting and schedule plan for product line
  • Maintain inventory and vendor records
  • Backup for Purchasing Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Business or related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years prior experience of procurement experience
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with MS Office Suite is required
  • Experience with SAP is strongly preferred
  • Physical requirements include: dexterity to operate office equipment, walking, sitting, standing and ability to lift at least 30 pounds
