Job Summary:

Responsible in determining the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing company products within the allowable budget and requirements and constraints.Determines and establishes specifications through engineering calculations and layouts.



Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:



*
• Works from engineering design documents, prototypes and/or change orders.
*
• Determines what equipment, tooling, materials, methods of manufacture (may include making or buy decision), and facilities are required to produce a particular product in scheduled quantities and at the lowest cost consistent with quality specifications.
*
• Responsible in seeing the new or revised product through to satisfactory production, coordinating with the various departments engaged in setting up or changing the manufacturing processes involved.
*
• Responsible for plant, facilities and equipment layout and/or work simplification, time study and similar activities.
*
• May use CAD/CAM equipment to perform design tasks.
*
• Investigates and analyzes quality problems, recommends solutions and ensures corrections are made.
*
• Monitors the quality of the design process.
*
• Supervises/coordinates an engineer and/or technicians and contractors on assigned work and projects.
*
• Lead technical problem solving for operational issues using engineering and scientific principles.
*
• Perform equipment testing and commissioning, and support qualification activities as needed.
*
• Lead/participate in process equipment improvement projects. This consists of identification and implementation of equipment and process changes in adherence with industry standards and company quality systems.

Interface and align with cross-functional groups. Remain accountable for projects timelines and spending. Identify and resolve issues that may jeopardize project schedules/scope/cost in a timely manner.

• Establish, develop and drive Good Engineering Practices and execute projects in accordance with the prescribed project management methodology



Skills and/or Experience Needed:

*
• BS /MS in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering area and 3 to 5 years of professional engineering experience.
*
• Familiarity with manufacturing, testing, and qualification processes.
*
• Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently.
*
• Working computer knowledge (spreadsheets, database, MS Office.



Language Skills:

*
• Must communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to employees at all levels and with outside vendors and customers.
*
• Must be able to read, write, analyze, and interpret general business reports, procedures, and/or regulations.



Reasoning Ability:

*
• Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
*
• Must be able to conduct failure analysis and determine corrective action.
*
• Must be able to draw solutions from both formal training and experience.
*
• Utilize standard engineering principles to resolve difficult problems, from conception to final design with team input.
*
• evaluation, selection and adaptation of various engineering techniques, constructing detailed, accurate project schedules, interfacing with development groups and technical support groups.
*
• Devise new approaches to complex problems through adaptations and modifications of standard technical principles



Additional Skills and Experience (required):



*
• Working knowledge of computer aided design applications: AUTOCAD, 3D Graphics
*
• Demonstrated success in delivering results in several technical challenges, Experience in the manufacturing environment related to Engineering, Project Management and Validation. The candidate must have good communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
