Job Description

This job is considered to be a hands on Supervisory position in which an individual is expected to coordinate all activities on 3rd Shift as well as assist the Senior Value Stream Manager of Wet Friction. As a member of the Plant Leadership Team, this position is responsible for conveying a professional attitude towards other employees while recognizing the responsibility to meet production schedules and customer commitments. Role Expectations:
Reporting directly to the Senior Value Stream Manager of Wet Friction the position will be responsible to:

• Maintain safe plant environment and compliance with all regulations (OSHA/EPA).
• Develop and support quality programs to reduce scrap and rework in the facility.
• Directing and executing production scheduling plans to meet customer demands.
• Developing and managing programs to reduce costs.
• Ensuring that the plant meets manufacturing goals and objectives are achieved.
• Maintaining high level of employee involvement and satisfaction.
• Manage and train plant Value Stream Leads on the updating and communication of the plant metric boards.
• Drive 5S programs throughout the facility.
• Support the implementation of the companies COS and OPEX initiatives.
• When required communicate with customer service and/or our customers current capacity concerns, quality issues, etc.
• Improve utilization of Capital Equipment to produce products.
• Capacity planning and utilization of people and equipment to reduce costs and increase output of product through the plant.
• Recommend new capital equipment to meet new business and increase efficiency of the facility.
• Work with COS and Engineering to develop and implement methods and process improvements to reduce costs and improve operation efficiency.
• Motivate and direct activities of Value Stream Leads and supporting departments.

• Minimum of 5-10 years of progressively responsible work experience in a manufacturing organization with knowledge and understanding of maintenance, facilities, manufacturing engineering and operations functions.
• Ideal candidate would be a "hands-on" person with shop floor experience. Knowledge of diverse manufacturing processes and Six Sigma training is a plus.
• Must be an excellent communicator, facilitator and coach, as well as possess strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent computer skills are required including Microsoft Office, ERP software and time keeping software.
• Must be able to work 3rd Shift
