Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Production Supervisor in its Greenville, IL location. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the timely production of a quality product and the safety of the employees involved.  The Supervisor will assist in the execution of cost control, scheduling and manning to maximize efficiency, and assist in maintaining a union free environment in a participative management style.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for the personnel on the shift in a manner that fosters their continued growth and development.  Address personnel matters in a timely manner.  Promote the Lean Culture in the Greenville Plant.  On off shifts, overall site management including Plant security, janitorial staff supervision, etc.
  • Monitor the equipment, working conditions, and methods utilized by shift personnel to ensure that plant safety standards are adhered to.
  • Evaluate the production of materials in the department to ensure that the methods and end results maintain the quality specifications established.  Identify and correct non-conformance situations through troubleshooting and utilization of support personnel.
  • Ensure that priority sizes scheduled for shipment are completed on time.  Evaluate equipment and manpower needs to accomplish product required.  Direct support personnel (Maintenance, Quality) to resolve problems that may interfere with obtainment of production goals.
  • Participate in AIP and Cost Reduction initiatives.  Initiate and assist in developing and implementing projects to ensure objectives of the plant are met.

A B.S. Degree in a business-related or technical field with three years’ experience in a leadership position, or high school diploma with 10+ years of manufacturing experience with at least three years in a leadership position. Microsoft Office knowledge is required.  ShopFloor and SAP experience is preferred. The ability to communicate and interact with other functional groups within the Company is essential.  Candidates must be willing to work a rotating shift schedule.  Shift transitions take place every two weeks.
