SUMMARY

* Effectively lead and align resources through the rigorous use and leverage of the Carlisle Operating System and support team to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives.



ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Continually support and improve manufacturing processes and techniques while allocating the appropriate resources to achieve the factory quality objectives.
* Direct team member daily activities to meet company and customer goals.
* Actively participate in process improvement by reviewing and suggesting methods.
* Effectively lead and align resources to achieve and maintain a high level of on-time delivery.
* Effectively lead and align resources to achieve cost targets that correlate with the plant efficiency goal.
* Assists in the training, developing, and mentoring of employees
* Responsible for interviewing and hiring production personnel.
* Maintain employee timekeeping, time off requests and absences through the time management system.
* Completes paperwork clearly and accurately
* Audit and review non-conformities in the production process
* Evaluate employee performance on a continual basis and provide continuous performance feedback
* Assists with first article and/or NPI assemblies as needed
* Demonstrates a high level of creativity; continuously looks for ways to improve and increase quality and efficiency through the use of the Carlisle Operating System
* Implement corrective and disciplinary actions
* Interfaces with engineers as required
* Maintain and implement company policies relating to the production floor
* Responsible for Key Performance Indicators: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory
* Maintains and posts performance measures for SQDCI Metrics in line with the Carlisle Operating System
* Maintain 5S standards
* Continuously improve safety to reduce the total number of incidents for the plant.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment and juggle multiple priorities, while maintaining a focused, positive results and team oriented environment

* Directly responsible for the manufacturing teams in the respective area.









QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Associates or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing management and 3-5 years of experience as a production supervisor or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* 3 - 5 years of relevant leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
* Ability to train, motivate, multi-task and set priorities.
* Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, read blueprints, drawings and schematics.
* Must have a working comprehension of the English language complimented with workplace levels of grammar, composition, strong oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrates good judgment and decision making skills
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* SAP and Windchill knowledge preferred
* Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) required
* Ability to understand and apply 5S lean manufacturing concepts





LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Must have a working comprehension of the English language complimented with workplace levels of grammar, composition, oral and written communication skills



JOB SKILLS

* Protective clothing or equipment may be required, and may include steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection
* Intermittent travel may be required to support production and Carlisle IT business objectives
* Writing skills required to complete documents and forms
* Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands.
* Ability to adapt to schedule changes with a positive attitude. Ability and willingness to work overtime when requested are required. Some positions require 10 or 12 hour schedules as an essential duty.
* Physical demands -- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform occasional to continuous repetitive motion while walking, standing, sitting, distinguishing colors, lifting and carrying objects up to 25 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Carlisle IT Franklin is a clean facility housing different kinds of machinery, equipment, processes and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.
