Job Description

Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated (CCM), a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an opening for a Production Supervisor at our Ultimate RB plant in Delphos, OH.  The production supervisor is responsible for supervising all plant direct and indirect employees assigned to meet manufacturing requirements.  This position plans and assigns the daily and weekly work tasks, supports the implementation of company policies, procedures and ensures that the team is working in a safe manner to achieve the expected quality standards while recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

This position will primarily work 5 days per week.  Typical hours are 4:15 pm – 3:00 am, although may vary depending on business needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure safe work practices throughout the shift
  • Communicate job expectations to plant employees
  • Continuously monitor plant resources and employee activities. Report existing and potential issues that may impede efficient production or employee safety
  • Schedule production runs for product types and monitor workflow
  • Ensure and maintain the efficient operation of plant equipment and cleanliness of plant along with adherence to  quality standards 
  • Perform incident investigations
  • Track absenteeism and timekeeping along with issuing warnings as required
  • Recognize personnel that are consistently meeting or exceeding expectations
  • Develop lead operators and ensure they remain engaged within the process
  • Develop ‘Best Practices’ and recognize exceptional team performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience in a production environment (required)
  • 3 years of related supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity and inventory processes
  • Knowledge of computer software, including applications (ERP Systems, Microsoft Suite)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong teamwork and relationship building skills
  • Lead by example and ensure accountability of the team assigned

Physical Requirements:

This position is located in a manufacturing plant. The work may require standing and walking up to 85% of the time.  The working environment is generally favorable, but there are conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.  Some duties may be performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available.
