Job Description

Responsible for reviewing customer specifications and working up a proposal in response to quote requests. Coordinates new product development for assigned projects. Along with Product Manager, may periodically serve as technical sales contact for internal departments and field sales.


* Analyze and interpret customers' technical data package.
* Research and estimate component costs and availability.
* Recommends selling prices considering cost, competition and sales history.
* Assist customer engineering and purchasing personnel with product information and selection.
* Coordinate key new product development projects for target customers as assigned.
* Performs other duties assigned including but not limited to Internal Auditing. (On-the-Job Training)

* Determine sell prices, often in collaboration with Strategic Account Managers, while considering cost, competition and sales history.
* Prepare cost analysis spreadsheets.
* Interpret MRP data.
* Make product recommendations based upon marketplace observations.
* Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Direct contact with the customer may occasionally be required

* Bachelor's Degree in engineering or business related field
* 2-5 years of customer service experience with preparing quotations
* Familiar with technical drawings and reviewing data


* Critical thinking skills to analyze information and develop creative approaches to problem solving.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Able to build rapport and enhance Carlisle IT relationships with customers and colleagues.
* Exceptional organization skills, detail-oriented approach and thorough in completing tasks with speed.
* Able to work professionally and effectively on the telephone, through email, written correspondence, PC and on the Carlisle IT systems.
* Excellent computer skills with MS Office programs and experience with MRP systems.
* Able and willing to work overtime and flexible hours to meet customer needs.
* Self-motivated, have and maintain a positive attitude, show initiative and act with sense of urgency
