Job Description

As the Product Marketing Manager for Rubber Products you will be responsible for the development, implementation and administration of new marketing programs, initiatives, incentives, new product development and sales tools. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the support of the Ultimate RB product lines and growth of sales by providing sales and technical support to customers, distributors, sales representatives, architects and/or specifiers. 

You will be actively involved in individual and group sales presentations relating the features of Ultimate RB offerings and the benefits derived by the customers, distributors, sales representatives, architects and/or specifiers.  Other responsibilities include managing new product development by working with the sales, manufacturing and R&D teams to develop new products for existing or adjacent markets.

While the overall functional concept of the Product Marketing Group has strong team orientation requiring a high degree of interaction with others both inside and outside the group to achieve mission objectives, this person must also have a high degree of independent functional ability.  Working independently for extended periods without losing mission focus and continuing to achieve stated objectives including meeting specific deadlines is a primary requirement.

Marketing responsbilities:

  • In conjunction with Marketing Communications, assist in updating marketing / advertising material and literature related to the CRP product offerings as required.
  • Monitor technical documentation (i.e. Specifications, Installation Guide, Maintenance Requirements, etc.) and work with internal personnel in the generation and updating of these documents.
  • Present information to inside and outside groups regarding the product lines, promotional programs, product offerings and project status in a professional manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Drafting annual Marketing Plans
  • Solicitation of input from the field on marketing programs, competitors’ products and other Carlisle products. 
  • Manage sales incentive programs
  • Development of marketing announcements and supporting sales tools for new products.
  • Conduct sales trend analysis and participate in quarterly management reviews.
  • Conduct customer VOCs and sales calls to ascertain market needs.
  • Development, evaluation, testing, reporting and implementing new CRP product offerings.
  • Identify product and market needs.
  • Coordinate new product development process in conjunction with R & D and Manufacturing
  • Confirm Determine market price constraints for the product and draft cost analysis using time studies and information on competitive products.
  • Coordinate efforts with other inside departments to facilitate sales and produce proper documentation (i.e. Purchasing Specifications, Product Data Sheets, Installation Instruction Sheets), order inventory, educate Ultimate RB personnel about the product and introduce to the market.
  • With Marketing / Advertising, develop advertising pieces and product demonstrations / presentations and training programs.

 Customer responsibilities:

  • Customer service interaction including communications facilitation between customers, CRP Sales and Marketing personnel, R&D personnel, Production, Shipping, Scheduling / Inventory Control, inside / outside sales representatives, internal customer service and Advertising.
  • Receive and return phone calls and other electronic messages from both inside and outside sources as directed.

Other responsibilities:

  • Monitor technical documentation (i.e. Specifications, Installation Guide, Maintenance Requirements, etc.) and work with internal personnel in the generation and updating of these documents.
  • General office functions including: Phones, faxing, copying, filing and record management.
  • Possess computer skills including: spreadsheet generation, documentation preparation using Word and Power Point presentations.
  • Travel to and from manufacturing plants and customers

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Marketing or related field
  • Prior experience in a sales or marketing role
  • Experience and knowledge in the building materials, commercial flooring industry required, exp in rubber flooring a plus
  • Strong knowledge of marketing techniques and tools
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional partners
  • Ability to work within a team and independently within a high growth environment
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, intermediate to advanced proficiency with Excel
  • Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% , this includes overnight travel
  • Valid Driver's License
