Product Marketing Internship

Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM), a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an opening for a Product Marketing Intern, for the summer of 2019 at our Headquarters in Carlisle, PA. This is a full time paid internship.

Project Summary:

The Product Marketing Product Evaluation Intern will conduct product market and field research for commercial roofing systems to evaluate their installed costs. The internship will include field research to evaluate labors rates, crew sizes and installation times. In addition, the intern will be responsible for compiling the installation research data to evaluate commercial roofing systems offer the highest labor-saving potential.

The purpose of this internship is to provide CCM with a competitive landscape of different commercial roofing assemblies and their total installed cost. This information will be instrumental for Carlisle’s future of product positioning.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct  field studies to include time trials of product installation
  • Review the product uses and coverage rates
  • Interview department staff to better understand system installations
  • Travel with a CCM employee and/or independently for product assessments
  • Make appointments with contractors and sales reps to organize trips
  • Conduct interviews with contractors and sales reps

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineer, Business, Marketing, or Construction Management
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA required
  • Must have strong verbal/written skills
  • Must be able to organize multiple projects
  • Must have experience working with Microsoft to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Additional Information:

Candidates must be available to work full-time the entire duration of the internship: May 2019-August 2019.  A formal presentation to an internal audience will be required at the completion of the project.

  • Climbing/descending using ladders and safety equipment where required
  • Working in heights above 8 feet
  • Ability to endure extreme heat, cold, and wet conditions
  • Driving skills for automobile
  • Air travel
  • Sitting for extended periods (up to 4 hours)
