Job Description

This is a key role in the growing Carlisle Medical Technologies business unit. We are a global team of experts focused on developing and manufacturing world-class, life-saving solutions for medical device OEMs. We provide proven engineering and advanced capabilities in custom interconnect, cable assembly, molding, assembly and other technologies to deliver electro-mechanical products that survive the exacting requirements of patient contact and healthcare environments.
This position is responsible for driving growth, developing product line strategy, and providing leadership for a focused Business Segment, with associated Product Lines and Customer base. This is a comprehensive and demanding business management role that requires agility, initiative, and vision.


* Responsible for leading the Product Management function (for assigned segment), which plans, organizes, and controls assigned product lines from concept through end of life, including the following:
* Customer Relations -- Drive and support the management of healthy long-term customer relationships and development of new customers in collaboration with Sales
* New Product Development -- Supervise and coordinate successful introduction of new products -- both customer and internally driven -- to meet technical, financial, and regulatory requirements
* Program and Project Management -- Manage NPD and sustaining portfolio programs directly and as champion for the core project teams, as appropriate
* Pricing & Profit -- Optimize profits by managing pricing and cost structures from development throughout product life cycle. Responsible for quoting.
* Costs -- Drive and coordinate cost structure strategies and decisions with other functions as appropriate, including design, sourcing, manufacturing location, etc.
* Forecasting -- Work with Sales and Customer Service to provide strategic Forecast input, manage and negotiate forecast strategies, and plan for NPD and end of life transitions
* Product Strategy -- Manage the overall product line strategy and facilitate research and development, development, manufacturing and engineering coordination for expanded and new products, technologies, and capabilities
* Technology Roadmap -- Analyze market and industry trends, customer needs, Voice of the Customer, and the competitive landscape to identify and prioritize new product and capability goals. Translates this information into Playing to Win business strategies and technology roadmaps for new products, key initiatives, and acquisitions targets
* Marketing -- Coordinate with Sales and Marketing functions to create product/capability positioning strategies, develop marketing collateral, and build brand identity and awareness

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.


* 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in industry.
* Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university required. Degree in Engineering, Business, or other related degree preferred.
* Advanced degree (MBA or MS) and/or relevant technical or industry experience preferred.

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Additional languages may be advantageous, depending on location.
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts, and regulatory documents
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and high-level financial proposals
* Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public

* Ability to understand and work with financial reports and data (e.g., P&L statements, Cost Workups, Pricing, Gross Margin, and other product analysis metrics)
* Ability to collect data and construct portfolio analysis models and analytics and reports

* Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships externally with customers, suppliers, and partners and internally with all functions and levels of organization
* Strong positive leadership skills, ability to lead both direct and indirect colleagues, motivate others, and build effective teams
* Experienced with Windows PC based systems and tools, including:

* Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* SharePoint
