Job Description

Principal Area of Responsible for New Product Introductions and for planning and directing activities

Responsibility: associated with the development and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products with application in the aerospace market. Assists in administering the total quality assurance program encompassing APQP, planning, evaluation, and reporting on all quality aspects of a product, from its conception through manufacturing, fabrication, storage and delivery with intent to provide an optimum quality product at the lowest cost.

Specific Duties:

* Ensure customer requirements are met through:

* Understanding and selection of the customer's critical characteristics.
* Developing and resolving preventative and correction actions related to the customer.
* Work with the customer to design and develop their product.

* Develop and implement all required quality documentation for new products.

* Lead applicable portions of the NPI process as well as product validation activities.

* Provide support to functional areas with regard to process and control improvement.

* Ensure that proper quality controls are in place, secure, and regularly audited for effectiveness.

* Develop and implement quality assurance program plans, DFMEA, PFMEA, Gage R&R, Control Plans, FAA Conformity Inspection (PMA, 8130-9 & 8130-3), and inspection equipment requirements in both manufacturing and development processes.

Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Ideal candidate would be a "hands-on" person with a minimum of 5 years' experience in New Product Development and Quality Engineering, preferably in a Government and/or FAA regulated manufacturing environment. Candidates should have a working knowledge of Aerospace Quality Management Systems: ISO9001, AS9100, AS9110, FAR 21, FAR 145, and Nadcap requirements.
