Job Description


Responsible for the development, implementation, tracking, monitoring and analyzing of production and processing methods and controls in way that will allow parts to be manufactured on high-speed equipment in accordance with product specifications in the most cost efficient manner.


* Establishing process controls and mistake-proofing of products and processes.
* Designing, running, testing, and upgrading processes (future and current), utilizing value stream process maps, SIX SIGMA, DMAIC problem solving, statistical workflow analysis, SPC charting, work balancing charts, and other Lean Manufacturing tools.
* Providing hands-on manufacturing support and leading cross-functional process improvement teams to support production and resolve manufacturing and quality issues.
* Lead complex troubleshooting of equipment and systems through Root Cause Analysis
* Work with Production and Maintenance to improve and maintain OEE of machines
* Support production areas with yield & quality monitoring and continuous improvement, investigation, leadership and technical mentoring
* Work with Quality and Product Control to resolve quality and reliability problems with customers
* In conjunction with R&D, conduct controlled new product optimization tests (including DOEs) and experiments for release into production environment
* Assist in defining technical requirements, process/equipment assignment, and tooling development for new products
* Interface with and monitor suppliers to improve product quality and yield
* Work with Automation and Tooling to develop Tooling Lifetime/Replacement rates and procedures to ensure equipment is repaired before breakdown occurs.

* Six Sigma Green Belt certification strongly preferred.
* 3+ years of industrial experience in process engineering
* Experience with high volume manufacturing in a high tech, high volume consumables industry is a plus
* Experience developing requirements, process/flow diagrams
* Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools (8D, 5 Why, Impact/Difficulty, etc.)

* Experience in business process and cost benefit analysis;

Excellent time management skills; self-starting and self-motivated.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment; reacts professionally under pressure.

* Ability to manage priorities across multiple teams/projects, platforms;

* BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering (MS is a plus)
* Knowledge of computer software applications including spreadsheets, database and word processor programs
* Experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis software


* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
* Must communicate effectively, both written and verbal, to employees at all levels and with outside vendors and customers.
* Must have very good English grammar and spelling.
