We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Plant 5 team in Carlisle PA

The Process Engineer has the responsibilityto develop, analyze, and implement new or modified process technology,products, equipment and systems for all Plant 5 manufacturing processes underthe guidance of the Plant Manager.  They will provide leadership intechnical service and support to production personnel to effectively improvequality and productivity while reducing operating costs.  Implementsprocess improvements and controls to reduce defects, scrap andrework.  Development work is coordinated with all necessarydepartments and is performed per acceptable and customary manufacturingpractices utilizing quality improvement techniques and experimentaldesigns. 

Job Responsibilities:

-  PlasticsManufacturing Technology with emphasis on sheeting products.  Detailedknowledge of compounding, extrusion, windup equipment, processing methods, andtesting for physical processing, and chemical properties.

-  Basic knowledge ofplastic compounding and the process related interaction of raw materials in acompound.

-  Plantprocessing specifications, procedures, and grading standards.

-  Qualityimprovement/control methods, SPC, Design of Experiments, Statistical dataanalysis Team problem solving methods

-  PCand software applications (MS Office, SAP, SFIS, Process Control Systems)

Job Requirements

-  BSin Engineering or Science degree with math through algebra and geometry,chemistry and physics.  Coursework in Statistical Process Control andPlastics Technology a plus.

-  Fiveyears of plastic processing experience in a technical support role desirable butnot required.
