Job Description
Carlisle Fluid Technologies has an immediate opportunity for a Plant Accounting Manager based in Jackson, TN.
Summary
This position is responsible for accounting functions related to the Jackson, TN facility, in addition to cost accounting for our Minneapolis facility and our systems business. This includes maintaining and reporting timely and accurate financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Ensuring that financial records are maintained for legal and management reporting, to facilitate management decision making with timely financial data, and to safeguard company assets.
Essential Functions
•
Manage the financial resources by ensuring internal controls are enforced and generally accepted accounting principles are followed
•
Oversee the maintenance of accounting records and preparation of month end closing/journals and account reconciliations
•
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting and KPI tracking to facilitate management decisions
•
Coordinate with corporate accounting department to complete monthly close and provide plant financial reporting
•
Gather information for internal and external controls monitoring and audits
•
Ensure compliance with company policies and with relevant federal and state, financial, taxation, employment, and safety laws
•
Planning, coordinating, and facilitating physical inventories at all locations
•
Supervise the site cost accountant and functions in regards to cost management and inventory controls
•
Responsible for hiring, performance appraisals and salary reviews, and other managerial and supervisory activities
•
Performs all other assigned duties
Minimum Qualification
•
Bachelors in Accounting
•
Ten years in Accounting experience to include Cost Accounting and Inventory Control.
•
Experience in managing and supervising accounting professionals
Preferred Qualification
•
CPA/CMA/MBA
•
Demonstrated interpretative and analytical skills, ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization to resolve issues
