PAYROLL & TIME SPECIALIST

Job Summary

Carlisle Construction Materials, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology, has an immediate opening for a Payroll & Time Specialist, in its Carlisle, PA location.  The Payroll & Time Specialist supports the payroll and time services function and will develop objectives that support an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, retaining and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The Payroll & Time Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of employee payroll and time and attendance administration while providing superior customer service to employees and managers.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the accurate and timely compilation, preparation and processing of payroll data in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Processes payroll and identifies training issues and/or problem prone processes to ensure optimal efficiency and error-free operations.
  • Provides guidance, training and support to all time and attendance administration staff at CCM locations.
  • Audit payroll records relating to personnel changes.
  • Reviews employee time records for system and pay integrity.
  • Monitor employee attendance rules to capture and communicate deficiencies to HR.
  • Adjust basic time configuration of systems after initial implementation, as approved/required.
  • Maintains integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of personnel database.
  • Participates in Time and Attendance initiatives including: system upgrades, communication of changes to business partners, testing and documenting all changes for historical and record retention policies, project support as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field, experience and/or training/certification may be substituted.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years of payroll experience required; prior Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are required
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge is also essential
