Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology, has an immediate opening for an Operator in Recyling in its Puyallup, WA location. Come join us in our new facility with an excellent view of Mt. Rainier to learn more about the building productions and related technology industry. 

This position will be responsible for operating, tending machines, and driving forklift for different EPS departments to keep them running smoothly.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Receives and reads work order
  • Operate a forklift to move materials to different staging areas
  • Float between specific areas assigned on an “as needed” basis by the Production Manager
  • Making spacers for shipping, production billets,  and finished goods material
  • Setting wires on the harp to cut down foam for grinding and making floor spacers
  • Performing 5s in general area
  • End of shift housekeeping (i.e. sweeping, vacuuming, dumping garbage, running the floor sweeper, etc.)

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Prior experience operating a forklift
  • Able to use measuring gauges such as tape measures
  • Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
  • Effective communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations

Physical Demands:

  • For this position, it is required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • There is a repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds
  • In addition this position requires the following abilities: standing, walking, lifting, reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting.
