We are actively seeking a Roll Forming Machine Operator for our Arvada, CO.  facility with the responsibility of the set up and operation of metal panel roofing fabrication machinery in a timely, safe, and productive manner.

Self-motivatedindividual that has the ability to understand and operate metalfabrication equipment is a safe manner that will include qualityproduction and the ability to make adjustments as required. Must havethe ability to operate and learn multiple pieces of equipment. Abilityto change out tooling and mechanical skills for simple repairs isrequired.  Experience preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Set up and operation of various metal panel roll forming machines. Manufacturers include New Tech and Roll-former.
  • Change out of various profiles on machines listed in point above.
  • Follow daily manufacturing work orders giving special attention to various materials, profiles, special ribbing, perforating and striation tooling and adding any needed specific notations.
  • Go to the job site and roll-form panels onsite for contractors.
  • Be comfortable driving truck and trailer in adverse conditions.
  • Inter act with customers at the job site and be able to talk to customers with confidence and respect.
  • Be able to read a work order and follow the instructions while working closely with contractor onsite.
  • Crate or palatalize finished panels and goods in shop or at job site.
  • Make adjustments to the machine by observation and using monitoring equipment feedback and performing quality control methods, such as gauges and hand tools
  • Perform quality checks to verify proper lengths, widths, paint finish discrepancies, and weights are adhered to using the proper tools.
  • Achieve production goals while complying to all safety requirements.
  • Must be able to switch between various equipment as needed.
  • Other duties maybe assigned.

  • Must be able to drive a truck and trailer and be comfortable backing a trailer up.

  • Basic computer, mathematics (ability to use a basic calculator), and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use rulers, tapes, calipers, and other measuring equipment

  • Perform maintenance on all tools, gauges and equipment.Ensuring that all items are functioning according to established work and safety standards.
  • Flexible to the possibility of overtime when required
  • Must be able to learn to operate new equipment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to read documents and interpret facts and draw conclusions
  • Perform basic mathematics. Computation skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Minimum high school education
  • Basic computer knowledge including at least one-year experience with email, Word, and Excel.
  • Must have a clean driver license and driving record.
  • Needs to be comfortable driving and backing up a trailer.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • Ability to walk on level concrete surfaces and on uneven terrain for job site roll-forming.
  • Ability to bend, twist, and lift minimum of 75 lbs. will be required; proper lifting techniques will be utilized
  • Ability to routinely get on and get off fork lifts as needed
  • The environment is a fast-paced metal processing manufacturing environment where proper personal protection equipment will be used, these is not limited to steel toe boots, hearing and eye protection, and cut resistant gloves/arm guards
  • There maybe at times where the ambient temperature may fluctuate especially when in the field and employees will be exposed to increased noise levels.
  • Must be able to drive a truck and a trailer.
