Job Summary:

Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an opening for a Mechanical Engineering Intern, for the 2016 summer, at our Carlisle, PA location. This internship will be a part of the central engineering group and will be involved in capital and continuous improvement projects throughout the course of the assignment.  Opportunities will be spread across several of CCMs product lines, but most of the emphasis will be on polyiso insulation manufacturing.  Some travel will be involved to other plants.

This is a paid internship.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in a team environment; effective team member.
  • Field work such as evaluating or information gathering, may include travel to remote facilities.
  • Attend design review and project meetings.
  • Use of AutoDesk design software such as Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent time management skills and work ethic.
  • Support Engineering Department on project work.
  • Document work performed.

Job Requirements:

Applicants must be at least junior status enrolled in an accredited four year Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program.  Applicants must have strong computer skills, some programming experience, and be familiar with the use of AutoCAD.  Candidates should have already completed heat transfer and thermodynamics coursework.  Interest in working in a manufacturing environment is also required.  Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
