CCM islooking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the Campus Engineering Team inCarlisle, PA. 

TheMechanical engineer for the Carlisle Campus serves as an advisor and consultantto the maintenance and production departments. This individual is responsiblefor new and retrofit project design; development of accurate project costestimates, project supervision and start-up assistance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops concepts, proposals, cost estimates for new projects in accordance with current plant short and long term needs.
  • Provides written justification (ACE write-up) for assigned projects after developing sound engineering design and accurate costs.
  • Executes approved projects through satisfactory completion by controlling expenditures for related equipment purchases and/or labor.
  • Through interface with maintenance, production, and technical services/QA personnel, provide technical knowledge to solve and/or prevent facilities, equipment, or process related deficiencies.
  • Develop machine modifications and instruct craftsmen on the fabrication and installation of said revisions.
  • Evaluate machine failures and assemble/participate with Root Cause Analysis teams involving craftsmen and maintenance support staff to eliminate the cause of repeat problems that consume resources and production time.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1-3 years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities
  • Knowledge of project appropriation process
  • Knowledge of cost control and procurement processes
  • Computer skills required:
    • Spreadsheet, Email and Word Processing (Excel, Outlook, Word)
    • AutoCad 2D/3D or equivalent
