Job Description

The primary objective of this position is to assemble and disassemble basic mechanical components and subassemblies for the aerospace industry to ensure Carlisle IT meets performance, quality, and customer delivery expectations. Our work environment is fast paced and team-oriented.

• • Working knowledge of blueprints, illustrations, and specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations, or identities and relationships of parts.
• • Inspect and verify required components, prior to assembly, for visual defects and damage
• • Perform basic assembly, installation, and connection of parts, fittings, and assemblies
• • Operates power drivers, fixtures, table top presses, rivet machines, gauges, hand tools & miscellaneous equipment to perform mechanical assembly of products.
• • Work with a variety of materials including solvents, oils and abrasives
• • Ensure accuracy and quality of the work performed by visual observation, checklists, bill of materials, assembly drawings, and test equipment provided
• • Identify and kit parts necessary for assembly
• • Maintain work environment in accordance with Lean 5S standards and perform tasks in accordance with company safety standards; Makes sure that workstation is clean, organized and free of hazardous materials

• • High school diploma or equivalent required
• • Manufacturing experience required; 1 plus years of assembly or related experience preferred
• Previous experience with hand tools such as screwdriver, wire stripper, hammer, socket wrench, etc.
• • Must have a working comprehension of the English language complimented with workplace levels of grammar, composition, oral and written communication skills


• • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


• • Protective clothing or equipment may be required, and may include steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection
• • Writing skills required to complete documents and forms
• • Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands.
• • Ability to adapt to schedule changes with a positive attitude. Ability and willingness to work overtime when requested are required. Some positions require 10 or 12 hour schedules as an essential duty.
• • Other conditions include frequent reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, crouching or stooping.
