Job Description


Under general supervision, the Composite Assembler II performs simple to advanced operations in the assembly of composite components and structures. Including inspection and testing as directed by manufacturing work instructions


* Uses common and advanced hand tools, power tools and required machinery in the production of assemblies.
* Skillfully works with a variety of materials: composites, steel, sheet metal, aluminum, brass, solvents, oils and abrasives.
* Integrate electrical racks into structures and conduct airflow tests
* Understands, executes and aids in the creation of manufacturing work instructions
* Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products
* Completes all necessary paperwork relating to the building of composite assemblies
* Consistently demonstrates sound knowledge required by Composite Assembler II training
* Makes sure that workstation is clean, organized and free of hazardous materials
* Is familiar with all factory safety procedures and guidelines

* High school diploma or equivalent
* 2 plus years related experience preferred
* Must have a working comprehension of the English language complimented with workplace levels of grammar, composition, oral and written communication skills
* Satisfy all Composite Assembler II requirements after the required time period.
* Satisfy Personnel Proficiency Requirements after the required time period.


* Protective clothing or equipment may be required, and may include steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection
* Intermittent travel may be required to support production and Carlisle IT business objectives
* Writing skills required to complete documents and forms
* Ability to read and understand written instructions, read blueprints, drawings and schematics.
* Ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure.
* Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands.
* Ability to adapt to schedule changes with a positive attitude. Ability and willingness to work overtime when requested are required. Some positions require 10 or 12 hour schedules as an essential duty.
* Other conditions include frequent reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, crouching or stooping.
