Job Description

Under general direction, perform a variety of activities to ensure the proper receipt, shipping, handling, storage, and movements of materials in support business processes. An individual in this position will interface with all departments and reports to the Warehouse and Shipping Supervisor.


• Maintains inventory accuracy by performing daily cycle counting on all store items.
• Maintains ID inventory records as required.
• Responsible for the disbursement of material as required to support stock requisitions, kit releases to machine shop, outside processing and assembly areas, shortages, and shipping of finish goods.
• Responsible for the maintenance of the stockroom and shipping areas.
• Verifies inspection of blue cards against work order to maintain stockroom count accuracy.
• Responsible for making bar code tags for received materials.
• Verifying counts accuracy by using the computer and notifying the Warehouse and Shipping Manager of count anomalies.
• Must be able to program and operate bagging machines.
• Must be able to understand commercial packaging procedures. Post weights and generates appropriate waybills: UPS, FEDEX, DHL and Airborne. Responsible for customer documents and bills of landing with all shipments.
• Shipping: All materials accurately shipped daily including transactions and problems investigated and resolved timely.
• Trace and resolve problems with inbound and outbound shipments.
• Timely processing of all shipments.
• Ship outgoing orders and non-inventory materials; ensure all is properly labeled to meet requirements.
• Must assist with other duties as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., walking and standing 80%, sitting 20%, computer 45%.

• Combined sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day to accomplish tasks.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching or stooping on a frequent basis.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use computer for extended periods of time.
• Walking, standing, sitting, lifting 50 LBS. or less.

• One-year stockroom experience.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematics.
• Basic computer knowledge.
