Training Manager - Manufacturing/Operations

We are looking for a Training Manager to join our team in Carlisle, PA. 

This position will work with Plant Management and Regional HR to plan, direct, and coordinate the training and development activities for team members in manufacturing.  This position develops a comprehensive manufacturing training strategy that aligns to the global talent strategy and supports the overall organization.

Travel requirements up to 25% including overnight travel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with Plant Leadership Team to identify and develop a strategy for Training and Development that is consistent with the overall objectives of the facility.
  • Conduct needs/gap analysis, and collaboration with department managers and team managers throughout the facilities to determine and define training needs.
  • Collaborates with the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team to develop and update EHS training content and training tools.
  • Assists set-up and maintenance of training records and documentation.
  • Plan, develop, and facilitate training for manufacturing team members, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as instructor led training, blended learning, social learning, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of existing training for manufacturing team members utilizing assessment and evaluation tools linked to adult learning models.
  • Set-up, Advise and Create Maintenance Training/Apprentice programs.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in training and education, human resources or related discipline
  • 5 years of experience developing, delivering, and managing training programs for all levels
  • 2 + years of experience managing people or projects preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Experience setting up/managing Maintenance Training/Apprenticeship programs a plus.
