Carlisle Interconnect Technologies (CIT), a $1B division of Carlisle companies ($4.6B, NYSE), is an industry leader in comprehensive, high performance interconnect solutions for the Aerospace, Defense, Test, Industrial and Medical Device industries.

CIT is seeking is a Manufacturing Program Director (MPD) to lead its Manufacturing Operations Program Management function.

Located in Saint Augustine, Florida, the MPD is responsible for directly leading CIT's major strategic projects as well as its broader portfolio of projects across the company's global manufacturing footprint. The scope includes technology development, process optimizations, acquisition integrations, production line moves, and plant builds and relocations. The MPD will also be a key contributor to CIT's manufacturing operations strategy, as part of the Global Operations Leadership Team.

The MPD will have functional leadership responsibility for project managers in various plants and report directly to CIT's VP of Global Operations.


* Work directly with the VP of Global Operations, the business' GMs and the Group Operations Directors to develop manufacturing location and technology strategies for new and existing products to support the growth of the business.
* Directly manage high-impact and high-visibility programs including plant startups, relocations, upgrades and shutdowns.
* Oversee the portfolio of operations projects, directly leading teams, schedules, budgets and the reporting of all related activities.
* Identify and lead implementation of global processes and systems to standardize best practices across locations.
* Ensure effective make-buy and supply chain analysis are performed as necessary.
* Ensure adherence to project budgets and schedules.
* Regularly makes presentations of project status.
* Identify project risks and implement risk reduction plans.
* Interact with cross-functional teams both internal and external to achieve project goals.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

This is an air-conditioned facility with many pieces of equipment that produce heat. The following are potential items that may be encountered in home site or in domestic factories during visits: fumes, dust, noise, hazardous/toxic chemicals. Appropriate training is provided and documented based on job placement that complies with OSHA and EPA regulations.
This position includes access or potential access to ITAR and/or EAR technical data. Therefore, candidates will need to qualify as a US Person which is defined as a US Citizen, or a Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management.
* MBA is a plus.
* Formal project management training. PMP certification desired.
* Lean and/or Black Belt certification desired.
* Minimum 12 years manufacturing operations experience including management of plant operations, manufacturing engineering or materials planning.
* At least 5 years Project Management/Program Management experience managing large projects.
* Direct experience successfully moving plants and equipment, upgrading plants and equipment, opening new plants and shutting down plant operations.
* Proven experience with operations financial analysis and models (i.e. Make vs Buy, standard costing, capex).
* Stage-gate project management experience.
* Strong lean expertise demonstrated through project work and/or factory transformations.
* Microsoft Project expertise.


* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
* Bilingual (English-Spanish) a plus.


* Ability to consistently visualize the entire scope of a project.
* Ability to work cross-functionally and lead through influence in a constructive and positive manner.
* Possess strong organizational skills and the ability (and willingness) to deep dive the details.
* Possess operational know-how, technical and lean expertise sufficient to lead experienced teams and to add incremental value.
* Possess and be able to lead with a high sense of urgency.
* Possess proven strategic, analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* Should have the capability to run a manufacturing plant.
